The Snowy Owl is a bird of Arctic tundra or open grasslands and fields. They rarely venture into forested areas. During southward movements they appear along lakeshores, marine Coastlines, marshes, and even roost on buildings in cities and towns. In the Arctic, they normally roost on pingaluks (rises in the tundra) and breed from low valley floors up to mountain slopes and plateaus over 1,000 meters (3,000 feet) in elevation.
a snowy owls habitat is full of snow and trees (usually snowy place)
it likes the cold so it lives in the arctic. and i am not wrong!!!!!Addendum to above answer:The Snowy Owl also lives in the colder regions of Canada. It is the official bird of Quebec. Snowy Owls have been spotted as far south as Texas, Georgia and Tennessee during the winter months.
Global warming is a big problem for Snowy Owls. It hurts the Snowy Owls in two different and dangerous ways: loss of habitat, and hurting the food chain. The first way, the loss of habitat is caused by loss of snow- due to global warming. The other way, hurting the food chain, is also caused by global warming but does not hurt the Snowy Owls directly. There are fewer plants this way, and the Snowy Owl's prey (lemmings, hares, etc.) have less food. We already said that Snowy Owl population is very abrupt so their population is getting lesser and lesser. Those are the things that endanger the Snowy Owl.
They have feathers on their feet to keep warm as their habitat is in the artic and they don't fly all day.
by gitting hit by cars and or by loosing food and habitat so be careful about what you do to the land polz
