with the number one piston at tdc, the intake cam(rear cam) lobes should be pointing to the rear of car, the exhaust cam(front cam) lobes should be pointing to front of car. then you need to insert a cam alignment tool(3/16 inch thick) in slots in both cam ends on drivers side of cam to hold them in place, then install timing belt
