Platypuses have been known to be taken by freshwater crocodiles in north Queensland. Generally, platypuses and crocodiles do not occupy the same habitat, as platypuses require freshwater and Estuarine crocodiles live in saltwater habitats. Also, crocodiles and platypuses only have their habitat overlap in northern Queensland.

Not really. The only place on the planet where the two share habitat is in extreme south Florida, and then they tend to be separated, the gator prefers fresh water, the croc brackish. Then again, they will enter the other's habitat on occasions.
Although Cyclone Tracy had strong and destructive winds, it brought surprisingly little rain with it. Therefore, there was no impact from flooding or upsetting of the crocodiles' habitat with fresh water. The impact on the saltwater crocodiles was negligible.
