It is a combination of jumps, cheers, tumbling, and dance. you learn all that stuff and put it into a 2 min. and 30 sec. routine.
A dance routine is a choreographed dance with specific steps that are repeated the same way every time, usually to specific music or a musical beat.
Cheer Routine
A dance routine is when a bunch of dance moves are put together to make a full entire routine kind of like a cheer routine.
Yes. if you are doing competitive cheerleading you will have a tumbling, stunting, jumping, cheer, and dance routine.
Practice your facials, practice the cheer (rythm, timing, loudness), practice the routine, practice your jumps
If your idea is to recite a cheer such as one you would do on the sidelines at a game; I would encourage you not to do that in a pageant. Talent portions usually have to be 2 mins long and I doubt you'd want to write a cheer that long. Plus, the judges would get bored (no offense). NOW, on the other hand. If you were to compose a routine that included gymnastics, tumbling and cheering choreography and elite jumps- and start it off with a cheer, it would be a bit more suitable.
You already know! It is a routine!! You said it in the question!!
Cheer Routine
Cheerleading has 5 parts, Cheer, jumps, dance, stunts, and tumbling. All star cheer does not have a cheer.

There is NO guarantee that your cheer squad will win. but you're not a good cheerleader if you are asking how to beat the other cheer squad on the Internet when you could be practicing your routine, stretching, or work on your skills. Just remember to do YOUR best, do YOUR job, and that's all you can do! You have absolutely no control over what's going to happen during your opponent's routine, you only have control over your own.
There are different categories you can compete an individual routine in for cheerleading. You will need to check the specific rules for the competition you are attending, but generally there are three main categories. There is a dance only section where your routine is only a dance, but includes different dance techniques/skills (toe touch is a great point earner). Then there is usually a cheer only section where your routine consists of only a cheer, where you may incorporate skills such as standing tumbling and jumps. Lastly there is a full routine section that will include jumps, running and standing tumbling, cheer, and dance. If you are uncomfortable choreographing your own routine, check in your area for someone who wouldn't mind helping you out.
A cheer leading competition is where multiple teams do their routine and Judges watch them and give each team a score. Teams are often scored on stunts,tumbling,timing,ect...
It depends on the school. Some schools require no tumbling at all, you just have to be able to smile, dance, and cheer. However, some schools look for girls with higher tumbling skills such as backhandsprings and tucks
