So drink these alcoholic Shirley Temples if you must, but at least avoid painting a mustache on The Mona Lisa by calling them martinis. (Robert Benchley once observed that the perfect martini was "three parts gin, and enough vermouth to take away that ghastly watery look.")
Try this recipe:
2 parts dark crème de cacao
1 part vodka
... and, just to make it interesting, perhaps 1 part Chambord.
Shake it with ice, strain and serve. (A lump of bubble gum would be an appropriate garnish, or maybe use a Tootsie Roll as a swizzle stick.)

It's the only chocolate martini recipe we use in our bar...it's wonderful!
A good chocolate martini recipe is a "Chocolate Espresso Martini". It consists of one lemon wedge, 2 tablespoons of raw sugar, 2 tablespoons of finely chopped and cut bittersweet chocolate chunks, 4 tablespoons of cooled espresso, chilled 1.5 ounces of vodka and 1/2 ounce of creme de cacao. You will also want to add a long lemon twist to the martini as well to kick the flavor up a notch.
For a chocolate martini, you would fill a martini shaker half full of ice. Then, add 2 oz of vodka and 2 oz of white creme de cacao, 1 oz dark creme de cacao. Shake well and pour into a martini glass, and there's your chocolate martini!
You are in luck, as there is actually a recipe out there that is called a chocolate martini. You can find the recipe here: http://cocktails.about.com/od/cocktailrecipes/r/choclt_mrtni.htm.
The common recipe for chocolate molds is to melt the chocolate and shape it before it cools up. The best recipe indicates to choose the best chocolate possible and to mix dark chocolate with milk chocolate in order to get different flavours in the same mold.

Whether chocolate chips can be used in place of a chocolate bar depends entirely on the recipe. If the chocolate bar is broken or chopped up, and the chips are the same type of chocolate - milk, semi-sweet or bittersweet - then the chips probably would be a good substitute.
Lime and water. Just experiment with the amounts of each.
You can use any chocolate chip cookie recipe you choose and add no more than 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans at the time you mix in the chocolate chips. Mixing them in by hand is preferable.
I wouldn't suggest any chocolate recipe, as cats and dogs don't need chocolate anything. There are several good recipes on the internet for molasses-based or honey-based treats that can provide a small, sweet treat for occasional rewards that don't run the risk of chocolate poisoning.
