1lb stewing beef(shin, flank, skirt,or chuck) 6 oz ox kidney 2 level tablespoons flour 1+ 1/2 oz butter 1 large chopped onion 1/2 pint of stock or water Ready made frozen puff pastry 1. cut meat into small cubes 2. toss in flour with salt and pepper to taste 3. Fry briskly, a little at a time, in hot butter until well browned, set aside 4. add more butter to pan if needed, then fry chopped onion gently until golden 5. replace meat pour in stock or water, bring to boil, cover pan, simmer gently 1+3/4 to 2 hrs until meat is tender, stirring occasionally. 6. line pie dish with pastry rolled to about 1/8 inch thick add cooked meat, top with pastry and seal edges well. 7. bake towards top of pre heated oven(450 F/230 C for 15 to 20 minutes until golden crusted * Enjoy! A teaspoon or two of Worcestershire sauce can be added to the meat while stewing for extra flavour.

Steak IS meat. Meat is the essence of a steak: A steak is not the same if it's not of meat, whether that meat is beef, venison, bison, moose, turkey, salmon, halibut, etc. (Steaks don't have to be just of beef...)
If it is an average sized 8 or 9 inch pie, then I would have to say to bake it at 350 degrees for about 40-55 minutes.
