The pigeon beak is mainly used for feeding .It is through the beak that the grains are collected and guided towards the gullet .The beak is also used by the pigeons to clean themselves and rearrange their feathers all over their body, to show affection to the other partner through kisses and to feed their babies and caress them .
Curved
i believe they don`t have one
no pigeons actually do not have jaws for different types the jaw in your mouth? they do not have a jaw in their mouth that helps them move it like us the jaws like teeth? pigeons do not have jaws they have a riggid beak and a sharp point at the top of their beak...they chomp it up and then eat it...or swallow things whole and regergitate it and eat it
How does the pigeon protects itself?
THE male pigeon usually coo's around the female and follow her for some time,if she feels interested she sits down and allow the to mate with her .From this time the pair stay together for their whole life. ONE IMPORTANT FACT IS THAT FEMALE CHOOSES HER MATE SIMILAR TO ITS PARENTS .
Well, squabs (Baby Pigeons) feed on crop milk so I don't think you should feed them seeds or that stuff until they are old enough. (Note: I'm not exactly a pro with squabs so go get some proper info from a real professional (I know lots about grown up pigeons!).)
falcons kill pigeons
There is not specific reason why Pigeons are called Pigeons, just like why are humans called humans. No one knows.
