The best cookies to bake depends on who you are baking for and your skill level. A good starter cookie to bake is the Toll-house chocolate chip cookie recipe, which you can find on chocolate chip bags in your grocery store's baking aisle.
Bake them for the maximum given time as per the recipe. They will be a slightly darker golden brown.
Sometimes it is best to bake cookies a little under what the recommend on the package or in the recipe. For example if the package or recipe says 350 degrees, take it down to 325 degrees.
HOW DO I GET RECIPE FOR COOKIES
A great recipe to involve children in the cooking process is any recipe that requires measuring of dry goods, specifically things like oats in a recipe for No-Bake Cookies. The hands-on experience with measuring the dry goods as well as the tactile experience of doling out the sticky peanut butter makes it a fun family experiences.
