I semi-permeable membrane is a membrane when only certain substances can pass through it.
it is a membrane that will only allow certain molecules through it . in general oxygen , food and water are allowed to enter ; waste products are allowed to exit and harmful substances are kept out. hope this helps.

A semipermeable membrane lets certain molecules, especially small ones, pass through and prevents other molecules from crossing.
A semi permeable membrane is a barrier that lets some things in and not other things.

The semipermeable membrane is found in somatic cells in the body. is generally formed by a phospholipid bilayer (two layers of fat molecules) which restrict molecules going in and out of the cell.

Animal cell membranes are a semi-permeable membrane.

Is plant cell will semi permeable or fully permeable?

It is semi permeable [ the cell membrane]

What will happen if a partially permiable membrane is replaced with a non permiable membrane?

If the semi-permeable membrane will change into non-permeable membrane, the items could not enter the cell. Also the osmosis will not occur as it takes place in semi-permeable membrane.

What part of the cell is the semi permeable membrane?

The plasma membrane.

Are cell membranes permeable or semi-permeable?

Semi-permeable. They let some things in, and others out. Typically, nutrients and water are let in, and waste products from cellular metabolism are let out!

semi permeable membrane

What membrane that allows only some materials to move in and out of the cell is?

Such a membrane is said to be selectively permeable or semi-permeable.

What does osmosis occur across?

a semi-permeable membrane

What does seminpermeable membrane do?

semi permeable membrane is semi-permeable or not completely permeable...it allows particles of a certain shap or size flow through but other shapes that are large or snaller cant fit through.

What is the basic strcture of a cell membrane?

Cell membrane is elastic and transparent. It can be impermeable, permeable, semi-permeable or selectively permeable. In humans the plasma membrane is selectively permeable that is it allows entry to certain substance.
