This is a large open reservoir. It is not used to generate electricity.
The dam has a total storage capacity of 2.61 million megalitres
Its total storage capicity is approx 2.909 km³ & effective live storage capacity is 2.17 km³.
Bratsk (russia) = 170 cubic kilometers
The Pati Dam in India has a length of 1,050 meters and a maximum height of 34 meters. The reservoir formed by the dam has a storage capacity of approximately 48.84 million cubic meters of water.

i dont know dam shyt!
The Drakensberg Pumped Storage Scheme is an energy storage facility built in the South African provinces of Free State and KwaZulu-Natal starting in 1974 and completed by 1981.Four dams are involved in the scheme; the Driekloof Dam, the Kilburn Dam, the Woodstock Dam and the Driel Barrage.Electricity generation equipment is located between Driekloof Dam and Kilburn Dam.The scheme provides for up to 27.6 GWh of electricity storage in the form of 27,000,000 cubic meters of water. The water is pumped to Driekloof during times of low national power consumption (generally over weekends) and released back into Kilburn through four 250 MW turbine generators in times of high electricity demand.
A 10-second trip to Wikipedia... yielded the figure 2,909 million cubic meters.
Wivenhoe has a total storage capacity of 2.6 million mega-litres 1.450 million of that is for flood mitigation, so at 100% it is 1.165 million mega-litres. Its dam wall is 2.3km long and 50m high. Hume Dam has a capacity of 3 million mega-litres at 100% and its wall is 51m high and 1.6km long

we can save/store electricity in batteries but economically we can't save electricity in pump storage plant we used to store the water back in the dam at night time during low power demand which we can use during day time (high power demand). so its a type of storage of electricity in form of water head in dam.
