Multi Disciplinary Theatre is basically a Theatre Production which incorporates a variety of disciplines ie, media, sound, lighting, dance. Not all these elements necessarily have to be placed together however. Brecht was responsible for some Multi Disciplinary Theatre using Projections and sound along side the theatre action. Therefore the Multi Disciplnary Team would be the ensemble as a whole, lighting, sound and media technicians as well as the writers, directors and of course actors. Sarah Kane also created MD productions to create a greater impact on the audience. Many West End productions would be MD also eg Lord of The Rings.
