Alignment is the feature in the ms-word which is used by the user to give different ways to position a paragraph or text. You can left align, right align, centre it and justify it.

Vertical alignment refers to position content at the top, middle or bottom of a cell, as opposed to horizontal, which is left, centre and right.
Horizontal alignment is the positioning of content in the cell across, like to the left, right or centre. Vertical alignment is the position of the content from the top of the cell to the bottom of a cell. If a cell is increased in height over its usual setting, then the vertical alignment can be used to position content at the top, middle or bottom of a cell. Both vertical and horizontal alignment can be done on the Alignment tab in the Format Cells dialog box. Pressing Ctrl-1 will open it.
In TextAlign, the difference between vertical and horizontal alignment is which way you align something. Horizontal alignment is set by aligning to the center, right, or left and vertical alignment is set by aligning to the top, bottom, or middle of a cell.

Horizontal Alignment includes a straight path, curves, or deviation in a horizontal direction. Vertical Alignment includes vertical curves and gradients on the ground. But it is difficult to change the alignment once the road is constructed, so care has to be taken in finalizing the alignment.

Copy the table. Go to a clear part of the worksheet. Then go to Paste Special and click Transpose and then OK. You can also use the TRANSPOSE function.
