A Computer Program (also software, or just a program) is a sequence of instructions written to perform a specified task with a computer. A computer requires programs to function, typically executing the program's instructions in a Central Processor. The program has an executable form that the computer can use directly to execute the instructions. The same program in its human-readable source code form, from which executable programs are derived enables a programmer to study and develop its algorithms.

There are many steps in the development of an software application:

1. Check what you want from the application. Take a pen and paper and make a list of programs you want to add in the software and logical steps for doing it.
2. Now choose the language suitable for accomplishing this task. (Well, you should choose the language you know very well) For eg- You must say developing a certain program in Python is much easier and faster but if I am more experienced and comfortable with any other language, say Java, then I would go do it on Java only despite if it takes much more time. Its a matter of individual preference only. Decide what suits you well.
3. Make the program.
4. Now that you have completed the programing, request some expert around you to test the program and pin-point the fields of further development. You can also release it on internet as a BETA version and invite people to test it.
5. Remove any bugs and give the final touch to the interface.
6. Release the product.
7. Remember to keep listening to suggestions and debugging the program , if any.
8. Keep researching and add new features with each version.
