Pith is the soft fibrous tissue lining the rind, or peel, of a given fruit. It's very good for you. On bananas it is the stringy white stuff that sometimes sticks to the fruit after you peel it. Although it's bitter, I usually scrape some off with my teeth as it is high potassium and others. Same with Oranges. Great source of fiber.

Well, a banana does have seeds but they are not viable. When you eat a banana, you will notice some black spots in the centre, these are the seeds of the banana. A banana plant reproduces with it's stem and not it's seeds because they are too small.
