Several things can cause high blood pressure in a 12 year old boy. First, there could be an underlying medical condition. That should be taken care of. He should see a doctor first. He may not be taking his medicine for Diabetes or some other condition. If the doctor does not find a medical cause, then it will become necessary to examine his lifestyle.
One cause could be stress. Another cause could be fat. Another cause could be lack of walking. Another cause could be excessive weigh lifting.

∙ 13y agoFamily history, being overweight, a bad diet with lots of sodium(salt).. A bad diet, lack of exercise, stress.. A lot of things can cause it..but generally I'd say it's being overweight..even an extra 20 lbs can hurt you
