Cross breeding is making 2 different types or species of animal or animals to create mixed 'new' species.
For dogs, mixing 2 pure breeds and making a mixed type of breed
Having a different breed of animal that breeds with another breed of animal.
By combining it with its wild respective realtive to avoid acquiring diseases. or It can save a crop plant by altering its structure, so it can repel diseases
Crossing two genetically similar organisms produces a hybrid.
The Punnet Square was created in the early 1905 by Reginald Punett. Reginald Punnett was born in England in 1875. The Punnett's Square is used to illustrate some of Mendel's discoveries in genetics.
Mendel did work with sweet peas. He learned that some traits are dominate and some are recessive. The trait for tall (T) peas are dominate while short (t) is recessive. He also worked with color, green (G) are dominate while yellow (g) are recessive. Besides working with just tall and short or green and yellow, he worked with them together. This last crossing with 4 traits produced 16 different combinations.
Pea plants (leguminosae) have an irregular flower in which the top part of the corolla is much larger than the lower part (Hitchcock and CronquistFlora of the Pacific Northwest p228). If you haven't ever seen a pea flower, it looks much like a snap dragon bloom. This feature keeps the flowers from freely pollinating each other by wind, as they are tightly shut. If protected from pollinating insects, they will only self pollinate, or if the anthers are clipped off they can be very selectively pollinated by a person. This gave Mendel much tighter control over the crossbreeding of the plants.
The values of crossbreeding is to produce animals that excel at producing meat, milk, wool etc.
Breeds
Heck NO that is now true
its called crossbreeding
The objective of crossbreeding programs is to combine the most desirable traits of select breeds in order to arrive at the desired characteristics of leanness, meatiness, feed efficiency, growth rate, and durability.
Crossbreeding
The purpose of crossbreeding any animal is to improve it's most desirable qualities. In beef cattle, that might be such things as average weight, tenderness of meat, health of the breed, and many others.
genetic crossbreeding and genetic modification. They genetically alter its DNA
Inbreeding refers to breeding between (relatively) closely related individuals of one species. crossbreeding is commonly used to refer to breeding between different breeds of dog. Hope that helped. (I got this from a different site)
That all depends on what breed[s] your cows are. You have to analyze the breed or breeds of your cows and heifers to decide what crossbreeding program is best for you. There are several types of cross breeding:3-way crossbreeding2-way crossbreedingTerminal crossbreedingWith a large herd, you are probably best to go with a 2- or 3-way crossbreeding system. This is referred to as a composite or hybrid cross.
