Best Answer

Gravity is induced by energy. Generally if an object has energy it attracts other objects. According to Einstein's Theory of General Relativity objects with energy bend spacetime around them, causing others to feel gravitation.

Ultimately, albeit a bit technically, gravity seems to be caused by the Universe being locally Poincaré invariant, meaning that the laws of physics are the same in every frame of reference.
