HOCD is a type of Pure Obsessional OCD. It is more of mental things, when things constantly repeat over and over again. Inside the mind, and you have extreme anxiety and avoid anything that would trigger that thought.

When someone has HOCD, it's when they have a fear of being with the opposite sex or the same sex (Straight person afraid of being gay, and a gay person afraid of being straight) It may seem ridiculous but it can be very bad for the person and can lead to severe depression. Usually these people are not homophobic and vice versa, but the mind repeats itself many hours of that day, as if it's trying to convince you. Even if the sufferer knows it's not true, and repeating does not stop.
