Inside was a great big cult statue of the goddess. Today there is nothing inside execpt the remains of the old Parthenon and ruble.

∙ 12y ago- according to National Geographic the roof was made from poured concrete,one of the earliest uses of concrete. Very tricky to blend and kiln the right proportions of the ingredients back in those ancient times.Even trickier to continuously pour concrete at that height on a huge roof.
