No but there is an easy way to get good karma that way is by donating 100 dollars over and over again to the priest at rivet cty or megaton, it will cost you but it is worth it if your trying to get Fawkes.

The karma in fallout new Vegas represents if you are a criminal or not, in which if your good then you would have a good karma, which more people like you, and if you kill good characters in the ame you would be evil, when people hate you and want to kill you.

Good Karma can provide both positive and negative effects.

Postive effects:

-You can recruit Star Paladin Cross & Fawkes as companions

-Megaton Settlers may come up to you and give you small rewards (eg. ammo)

Negative effects:

-Talon Company Mercs will spawn at certain locations and attack you

Other effects:

NPC's may comment on your good karma (eg. Three Dog On GNR)
