In Bhagavad-gita Lord Sri Krishna states His purposes as incarnations to be:
1. Delivering the pious.
2. Diminishing the demonic
3. Re-establishing religious principles.
He states in His Gita He wants all of us, His parts and parcels to become eternally happy by returning back home back to Godhead.
