From the same base temperature sand will warm quicker than clay given the same conditions.
Sandy soils have large grains, and are porous. Clay soils have very fine grains, so are non-porous. The only similarity is that sand and clay soils are formed by the weathering of rocks.
a similarity:both contain high content of air. a difference:loam retains alot of water whereas sand does'nt retain water well:)
salt is disolvable in water and sand is not
swamp+sand=clay
Sand. The sand has space between all of the little grains, clay is stuck together with less space.
Sand, because there is more space between the particles.
Their both the same, really, just two different names for sand with clay in it, however one might have more clay in one (sandy clay) than the other (clayey sand), but only by miniscule amounts.
