surface tension is the property of a liquid which make its surface behave as if it is a length or stretch elastic skin.
surface tention
it's called "surface tension". It is the property of the surface of a liquid which causes it to behave like an elastic sheet. This is why a "water strider" insect can skate across the surface of a pond without sinking into the water. It is also what causes a drop of water - the surface tension of the water pulls it into a ball.
Common metal earring don't float in water. However, you could design on that float by make it hollow. Jewellery design is unlimited, long as it can hung beautifully then anything could be possible, even using plastic to make an earring. I would think the back of the earring could be light and flat enough to be supported by the surface tention of water.
The surface become colder.
Surface flow is when water from the rain runs on the surface into the ocean.
the surface tention of aliquid is the force per unit length on the surface that opposes the expansion of the surface area
the temperture increase whenever the tention increase

Surface tention
When you stretch something tight. New anchor chains are stretched or have tention applied to them to near breaking point befor being used on a ship. Tention can be used on a spring just prior to its loosing it's elasticity. Almost anything can have tention applied to it as it is a force. As a point of interest, still water has tention applied to it as demonstrated by the Water Spiders which can walk on its surface.
weight of tray put downward force while the surface tention of water apply up ward force

it would swim away because of the surface tention. When you put the soap on it's tail it weighs it down.
A feeling of stress
Tension is the application of force to a material. (Not tention just for the record.) Stress, just to clarify, is the movement of said material under tension.
