Nothing is the answer to the riddle. A rich man needs nothing; a poor man has nothing, and if you eat nothing, you will die.
The full riddle is: what is more powerful than God, more evil than the Devil, rich people want it, poor people have got it and if you eat it you die? The answer is.... Nothing!
Nothing.
This riddle is asked backwards. It should read, "What does a rich man want, a poor man has, and if you eat it you will die?" The answer to that riddle is nothing. A rich person wants nothing, a poor person has nothing, and if you eat nothing, you will die. However, worded the way it is, food seems to be a more correct answer.
What is greater than god, more evil than the devil, the poor have it, the rich dont need it,and if you eat it you will die? answer:nothing I agree with the answer: Nothing. However, I don't believe the riddle is worded quite right. Instead of 'the rich don't need it', wouldn't "the rich need it" be the correct way to say it? If you make it a sentence; "The rich need nothing" is correct. It wouldn't be "The rich don't need nothing" because that would make it a double negative, therefore causing it to be grammatically incorrect and making a part of the riddle misleading. I'm not your typical "grammar police" lol.... but in a riddle, the SMALLEST detail can mean all the difference....
