There is far too much variation in the answer to be able to give you a hard number. The value depends on the condition and the configuration, since there were seven different choices; sporting rifle, fancy sporting rifle, takedown rifle, extra lightweight takedown rifle, extra lightweight rifle, carbine, and musket. Only the two lightweights and the carbine were available in 22". The lightweights had a shotgun rubber butt plate and the carbine had a steel butt plate. All were available with the full or half magazine and all had the round barrel. Your rifle was made in 1894. Color case hardened frames were discontinued in 1901 and so the case hardened frames bring a premium. Winchester provided a large selection of extra cost options on the 1886 and for rifles with these options, a separate valuation should be made by a reliable source. The rifles were available in 10 calibers and the larger calibers bring a premium. Carbine: Exc V.G. Good Fair Poor 15000 10000 5000 2000 1000 The lightweights somewhat less.
