I just bought a Ruger p97 "used", but has never been fired, so it is still basically new. I got it for 425 after taxes and other little prices. For a used one i would like to pay 400 or less, depending on aesthetics of the gun and how much use is in it.

But if you buy one from a private individual, person-to-person sale, I think $300 is more like it. Ruger pistols have a good reputation for reliability but they are thick, heavy, and ugly.
