Much smaller than that. A grain of rice would have a volume of just a few cubic millimetres.
If it is good coal there should not be any sand
fifoenergy.com says 35.314 cubic feet per 1 ton of bituminous coal.. My coal supplier tells me to figure about 36 cubic feet for my antrhacite pea coal. wikianswers says abo…ut 40 cubic feet per ton of antrhacite.
1 ton of rice will occupy roughly: 18.57 Cubic Meters
Here is only an answer possible, when water is assumed.. 1 cubic meter weighs 1 metric ton.
sorry --- a cubic foot of what?. a cubic foot of water weighs 62.5 pounds
Asphalt comes in different densities, but "regular" paving asphalt weighs about 770 pounds per cubic yard. That's about 0.385 tons per cubic yard. Just off the top of my head.… That's a bit more than a third of a ton per cubic yard.
One cubic meter of rough (paddy) rice weighs about 577 kilograms or 1,273 pounds.
Type your answer here... 54 lbs
4000lbs says ziegenfus coal, palmerton, pa
40 -50 cubic ft. relative to the cut of coal, rice, lump etc.
The question as stated makes no sense. a cubic foot is a measure of volume; a tonne is a measure of weight. The two are related by density = weight ÷ volume => vo…lume = weight ÷ density So the number of cubic feet (an imperial measure) in 1 tonne (a metric measure) all depends upon the density of the substance weighing 1 tonne - Mercury is many times more dense than Hydrogen and so 1 tonne of Mercury will be much smaller in cubic feet than 1 tonne of Hydrogen.
You need material density in tonnes per cubic metre Then: > multiply by: 1.000 to get metric tonnes 0.984 to get long tons 1.102 to get short tons > note: metric tonne = 1000 …kilograms long ton = 2240 pounds short ton = 2000 pounds
There can be no equivalence. A tonne is a measure of mass. A cubic metre is a measure of volume. The two measure different things and, according to basic principles of dimen…sional analysis, conversion from one to the other is not valid. If you are not convinced, consider a cubic metre of air. How many tonnes? Next consider a cubic metre of lead. How many tonnes? The masses of equal volumes of the two substances will clearly be very different. So there is no direct conversion between mass and volume : you need to know the density of the substance to enable you to carry out the conversion.
All depends on the product. 1 cubic yard of screened top soil equals 1 ton. Of screened gravel, 1 yard equals 2 tons. 3 to 6 inch rock, one yard is 1.5 tons. Crushed Limes…tone 1 yard equals 2 tons
