What is the difference between the book Stuart Little and the movie?

The movie's plot focuses more on Mr. Fox's relationship to Mrs. Fox and his son, which is pitted against Mr. Fox's desire to steal chickens as a means of feeling like his natural self. The movie adds scenes before Mr. Fox attacks the three farmers and after their bulldozing of the hill, as well as a slightly altered ending and more background on Mr. Fox's past life as a thief.

I am familiar with the book. perhaps the movie has a more upbeat denouement ( conclusion) in the book the title character dies or is left to die- from a snake bite, as I recalll. except for the names and a few other changes ( like updating to NASA and correcting to a normal Boy-Girl love angle) it may be argued I Dream of Jeannie- with added occult angles- may be a derivative of the St. Exuperby tale. Now if the original was ( in North Africa) entitled- The Little Princess- a sort of Cleo costume with maybe a friction cape for protection at night- well, that would be a different story indeed! oh, Your Highness, Parlez-Vous Russe? ( do you speak Russian) Oh- Ohol.

I read and saw them both in french. The book is much better in my opinion because it leaves more to the imagination. The movie is very old and "cheezy". I didn't like the movie at all.
