Typically, a certificate does not meet the requirements of a degree in either the number of credits and course requirements. In other words, a certificate may require 33 credits where an associate degree may require 64 credits. In addition, a certificate is much more specific to a field, where the associate degree requires more of a diverse education to include, written communication, humanities and social science requirements.
Typically, a certificate is very specific to one field, but does not meet the requirements in terms of credits and the courses needed for a degree.
Basically more hours spent going to school. Bachelors being the most (4 yrs), then Associates (2 yrs.), and certificate can take anywhere from 6 mo. to 1 yr.
i am looking for the answer to the above question.
masters is more advanced
Certificates take 1-2 semesters to complete. Associates degrees take 2 years to complete. Associates degrees are so much more impressive than a certificate. The Para-educator Certificate Program is designed to give an individual the training necessary to become an Instructional Assistant. This is not a state teaching license. Basically it is a teachers assistant. Some Para-educators programs can require up to 51 college credits. Thus, with a little more work, you can secure an Associates Degree, and most colleges will have a ladder program leading you from Para-educator certificate to an Associates in either Early Childhood Education (pre-k through fourth grade), or Education (Fourth grade through 12th grade). Still, if you plan on becoming a state licensed teacher, you must think about securing a Bachelors degree in education. This is not the only way to teach, for there are some alternate approaches, but if you have the opportunity to secure the Bachelors degree in teaching, this would b the better choice. That is in my opinion. Viper1
There is not much of a difference. The bachelor's degree can take between 120 and 128 credits depending on the major.
Typically, a bachelors degree requires between 120 to 128 credits to complete in specified course work depending on the program of study. A certificate does not meet that requirement and requires much less in the amount of credit hours. The certificate is very career oriented and has little or sometimes no general education requirements. Some certificate programs are designed for individuals who already have a degree and are looking to supplement the existing degree with a specialty.
the associates is a college level degree. A career is what you do for a living.
The difference between license certificate and registration certificate, is that, license certificate can be acquired through graduating and taking special examination. While registration certificate, relates to certificate in getting for example; business.
To obtain a bachelors degree, it takes four years. An associates and masters degree takes two years. Most Associates' Degrees take between 22-26 months, Bachelors' Degrees take between 38-42 months (although a completion program would average about 22 months) and Masters' Programs take about 16-18 months.
what is the different between certificate, diploma, first degree and higher degree programmes?
a bachelors degree is based on a year plan, while a masters degree is six year plan and is usually more in debth on whatever you are majoring in.
The certificate does not meet the course nor credit requirements of the master's degree.
certificate shows you can actually perform the task and license allows you to legally perform it on someone.
