It is so much more easier to write a play than it is to write a novel because of the length.
A way to express your feelings rather than reading and understanding
A script has stage settings and directions and dialogue but usually very little descriptions of setting, characters etc
A novel has setting descriptions, character development, narration, more vivid descriptions etc....
Yes. A novel is a printed book. A movie is a recorded film.
More broadly, any novel that is rewritten and filmed as a movie will be different, since it is impossible to transfer all aspects of a novel (for example, long passages of narration and description) into a movie.

They are much the same. Script is the more general term, and it can be used to refer to plays and to screenplays or to any written material meant for any kind of oratory or dramatic work. Here the word script will refer to screenplays. A script is the spoken portion of a project for television, film, or other kind of recorded medium. A script contains a lot of the same kinds of material you would find in a play, like general movement/blocking, suggestions of emotional content, entrances/exits, or even technical kinds of directions related to use of cameras [Reveal, for example: a character or other object moves across the screen to show something of importance behind]. Some differences with scripts [screenplays] are that the action can be filmed at widely different locales, and over the course of weeks or months [even years, as was the case for the LOTR trilogy, filmed simultaneously over roughly a 2 year period] the action can be filmed completely out of sequence for practical ease and edited later, and usually the intention is that the final edited version is the fixed and permanent version of the project.
Plays are written and designed to be acted out in one physical location, with changes of scenery as appropriate. Live performers never actually perform the play exactly the same twice, and this live aspect adds palpable energy to stage performances.
written text that includes lines for the actors
Well, there are both pros and cons to reading a novel instead of watching plays.
Pros:
1. It allows imagination. Think about it; when someone watches a play, the visuals are already there for you. You can't imagine the visuals yourself; plays don't really allow room for your imagination to wander.
2. There is much more narration; you can really understand what's happening in a novel because of the narration. In a play, you sometimes can't tell what's happening because the dialogue just whips by so quickly.
Cons:
1. It has no real dramatic effect, due to the fact that there's nothing you hear, or nothing you see. It's just paper and words printed on it. Sure, dramatic use of words can be very inticing, but that doesn't compare to the emotions visuals and audio/music can stir up in you.
Umm... Ahahaha, I can't think of anything else right now, but I'm sure there's more ! Hope I helped ! :)

A play script is longer than a prose
A play has directions for the actors.
The biggest difference between the two is that novels generally contain little to no illustrations or images while the bulk of a picture book's contents do. The similarities are that both tend to convey a story or plot as far as fiction goes.

Peter Pan was originally a play, so the biggest difference between that and Peter and Wendy is that the former is a play and the latter is a novel. :) The novel was published 7 years after the play, so there are some revisions to the story, things added, some left out, and some just told differently. The novel P&W was later published under the titles Peter Pan and Wendy and just plain Peter Pan. These are the same novel as P&W.
There is no difference, in the movie they used the same dialogue as they did in the book.
