Self hypnosis is the act of telling yourself something is true (or not) and believeing it.
Deep meditation is a form of "Free-thinking" or letting yourself think without limitations or distraction.
I can see how you can obscure those two but meditation is completely different from hypnosis even though you are in the same state in bolth!
