It really depends on what animal you are reffering to. Animals in captivity can live twice as long as animals in the wild. Some animals can live up to the same age in any. There are more dangers to animals in the wild, such as predetors, poachers and lack of food/water. Animals bred in captivity have no real dangers so they would be considered to live longer.

This varies about species of whale. Not many whales live in captivity as the one people get mixed up is killer whales which are not actually whales. Orcas in wild can life to 60 years old and rarely live half of that in captivity.

There can never be a definite answer but I would suggest that if you count the whole of the insect population of the world as a wild animal then the percentage of caged animals is very small in comparison.
