ytterbium has 70 protons.

Ytterbium has an atomic mass of 173,04.
Ytterbium oxide is any oxide of ytterbium, but especially the colourless solid Yb2O3.
Ytterbium is a naturally occuring rare earth element. However, an isotope of Ytterbium (Ytterbium-169) is an artificially produced isotope.

Ytterbium (pronounced i-TER-bee-əm) is a chemical element with the symbol Yb and atomic number 70 (One but last member of the group Lanthanides). Not to be confused with:symbol Y, named Yttrium (pronounced IT-ree-əm) which is a chemical element, number 39
Ytterbium's average atomic mass is 173.04.

yttrium is a transition metal in the periodiodic table. Its atomic mass is 88.906 and is sometimes mistook for ytterbium. i would say its just a common transition metal used in chemistry, yet ytterbium is a powerful lanthanide.
Ytterbium is reactive (the Pauling scale index is 1,1).
It is a solid metal.

It is possible. Neptunium can decay by spontaneous fission, and ytterbium is a possible daughter, although vanadium would have to be the co-daughter. (93NP --> 70Yb + 23V) It seems unlikely, however, as the split would more likely be closer to centerline mass.
Ytterbium, with the chemical symbol Yb, is the chemical element with the atomic number 70.
