Being spiritual means you place your faith in acts of personal belief in God and the guidance of your heart rather than the teachings of man or his religious doctrines . Being religious means you observe and worship God in the context of the practices and teachings of man and his places and religions of worship . Of course , both spiritual and religious people struggle with these different views . Some go one way or the other . Some never do .
Religious is easier to be defined, since it refers to all that relates to religion. The spiiritual may be defined in a larger way, as anything related to human spirituality, including religion, philosophy, meaning of culture etc. Or spirituality it may be defined as a theological-biblical virtue, indicating a conscience controlled under the Holy Spirit's control, contrasting with the life of one's own sinful nature. Spiritual persons are religious, but religous persons are not necessarily spiritual.
Religion is belief(all religions are talking the relation between body and soul . all of it are methology. The spritiuality is real experience of body and soul sepration by meditation before physical death.
Allow me to take a stab at this; at least from my limited knowledge of The Bible.
A 'spirit being' is a creature that is non-physical. Like an angel. Or even a demon is a 'spirit being'. 'Spirit beings' are not limited by the things that limit 'physical beings', (like animals and mankind.)
Physical beings are limited by gravity, and other forces of the Universe; 'spirit beings' are not. Physical beings that we know of, can only travel very slowly; compared with spirit beings which are outside the forces of the physical universe. Physical beings on earth need to eat physical food; drink water; breath air; have sleep, etc. 'Spirit beings' are beyond that. Humans need eyes to see things; We also need light to see things. We need heat to exist. Spirit beings don't need eyes or light to see things. They have no need of heat. The Bible speaks of God as dwelling in the 'heavens, your dwelling place.' (1 Kings 8:39) Then it also says that 'the heavens of the heavens' - 'cannot contain god'. (1 Kings 8:27) Figure that one out.
On the other hand, a 'spiritual being', could be ANY BEING, that has a 'spiritual side'; or an interest in 'spiritual things'. This would disqualify animals, since they can't even comprehend a Maker, or where they came from. Nor can they understand spiritual concepts.
But humans seem to have a spiritual side, with spiritual inclinations. Humans seem to have a need to question 'where they came from'; who or what made us; what is our purpose to this life; where are we going; how are we to live while alive. Humans have a concept of 'morals'. (If birds eat from your cherry tree, it's not called 'stealing'; but if another human goes on your property and picks all the cherries, we call it 'stealing.)
Many humans throughout history have a leaning to 'worship' something or someone.
Understood, -- humans will go in different directions with answers for such questions. Some have decided that there is no God. But they may still have a spiritual side; they still search for answers regarding 'origins'; they still have a concept of 'morals', even without belief in God.
Being spiritual means that you believe in the unseen spirit beings, or spirit realm, but it does not necessarily mean you worship the unseen in any particular way. It's more that you are aware of it, and try to live your life in harmony with the unseen forces. Religion is exercising faith in the spiritual beings/realm or the divine, and practicing what you believe the divine would want you to do or how you can become part of the spiritual/unseen realm.
All truly religious people could be considered spiritual, but not all spiritual people would be considered religious.
Both are in some way the same, but one can also give the answer as Spirit beings are those who have passed on unto death. And those who are still alive but are spiritual in their behavior.
Religious belief is usually closely tied to the teachings of a specific religion. Spiritual beliefs is what occurs inside a person's mind, heart, and soul.
A religious vocation involves a commitment to serve a higher power or spiritual calling within a religious institution, often through vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. In contrast, a secular vocation typically refers to a career or occupation that does not have a religious or spiritual focus and may be pursued in a non-religious setting.
