A lot of his songs don't have a specific meaning. He doesn't say what it's about, he just says that the listener should have fun trying to figure it out.

The song kinda sounds creepy because he says," But if the bombs go off the sun will still be shinning, because you've heard it said that every mushroom cloud has a silver linning.." so it might be an inspiational tune...
