This is a story entitled 'The Moonlight Ghosts of Lake Morey'
We are educated to believe that Robert Fulton invented the Steam Engine. However, it was invented by Samuel Morey and stolen by Fulton because of an error in the Patent registration. Morey was so angered, that he sunk his boat, the Aunt Sally to the bottom of Lake Morey. So, on a still moonlight night, the boat risies to the surface without a sound or ripple. It floats around while Morey watches from a nearby shore
