No need exists. For some who have joined it was an impulsive moment. Judges were helpful at times by providing the Corps as an alternative to long term incarceration. Thousands became Marines either to avoid the draft or were drafted into the Marine Corps. Some had special skills and were actively enticed into enlistment. Some had been jilted, some were escaping from paternity suits, some were simply hungry and yes there were some who joined because of glitzy advertising, fancy uniforms and because their buddy thought of it first.
Professional soldiers have sought out the Corps, and then there have also been hundreds of thousands of young, patriotic men who joined to serve their country.
You'll need to get that treated first.
Children do not affect your ability to join the Marines.
A GED is acceptable and a waiver of acceptance is rarely granted.
if you have a criminal record can you still join the marines commando
I do not think that you have to be legal to join but i know that you do get a citizenship if you die in combat. If you survive, you're still an alien.
