my guess is if you have someone trying to carjack you, you would then press the panic button to draw attention to you. In my case, inside my home watching someone trying to do harm to my car, then outside with the Baseball bat!

I am not sure if that is a problem for your car or not. Does your car come with a panic button for your alarm? If it does, there is a chance that the doors open in case you hit the panic button and the lights go off to alert people around you. Check with the manufacturer of the alarm.
