Plot- The plot is the sequence of events in a story, each event causing or leading to another. The 6 things on the plot diagram are......(in this order) 1. Exposition- the introduction to the people, places,and situations that we need to know 2. Rising Action- the series of events that lead to the climax of the story. Usually the conflict struggles with the protagonist - the "rising action" is where the plot is "thickened" with characters and problems. 3. Narrative Hook- the introduction of the main conflict that catches the readers attention, and causes the reader to find out what happend. 4. Climax- the decisive movement in a story; the turing point of the play to which the rising action leaves; the part which determines the outcome of the conflict. 5. Falling Action- the series of events which take place after the climax and leads to the conclusion. 6.
