The average price of this Remington is around $500.00. If you order through a reputable dealer online, this often ships for free.
yes as long as the Remington model 700 sps is chambered for 308 Win.
about 200$ us if its in good shape
$350 Down south
A Remington Model 700 chambered for the 7mm 08 cartridge would be a short action as the cartridge is based on the .308 Win.
As with any firearm, value will depend upon condition. A used Remington Model 742 in .308 (a desireable chambering) will vary in value from $US 250 in fair condition to as high as $US 600 in New In the Box condition. Yours in average condition will probably value at $US 400, depending upon the market in your area.
308/12 There's more: 410/22 LR 410/22 WMR 12/223 Rem 12/308 Win 12/30-06 Sprg
The .308 Win cartridge will perform as well from any of the rifles you mention. Accuracy will depend on the individual rifle and the particular ammo you're using. At pig hunting distances, it should not be an issue. The M100 Winchester is, in my opinion, as reliable as either the Remington or the Browning. On the other hand, the Browning will probably have the nicest finish, followed by the Remington, with the Winchester having the most utilitarian finish. It's not ugly, but it's a shooter, not a showpiece.
Compared to the 223 Remington, the case volume of the 308 Winchester is increased by approximately 80%. The 308 Win now fires a larger bullet and maintains long-range speed, but at the expense of recoil.
.243 is a short action- it is based on the .308 cartridge necked down- and .308 is a short action. 25-06 would be a long action (parent cartridge was 30-06)
Either one. Depends on the rifle, ammo and shooter.
No, 308 Win is like the 7.62 X 51 not the 7.62 X 39. The 308 Win will not chamber in an SKS it is too long.
No. The only difference is in the stock. The BDL stock is fancier with a fore end black tip on it. The same action was used in the ADL which is a plainer stock.
