Hair transplantation is the main surgery for hair loss, which involves removing a narrow strip of hair-bearing scalp from the back of the head and using it to fill an area with thin or no hair. Most hair transplants are performed in the doctor's office under local anesthesia. To transplant hair, the surgeon first cleans the scalp, then injects an anesthetic to numb the area where a 3- to 4-inch strip of scalp will be removed. After removing the strip of scalp with a scalpel, the surgeon sets it aside and sews the scalp closed. This area is immediately hidden by the hair around it.

It's worth checking with your doctor in case there's an underlying cause for your hair loss. Some medications have hair loss as a side-effect. Some curable conditions cause ha…ir loss. You don't give a lot of information about your condition, but basically there are two 'official' medications for hair loss, approved by the FDA for efficacy and safety: Minoxidil and (for men only) Propecia. The FDA have also approved a laser comb. So, those would be the first things to try, but always as part of a treatment programme that includes monitoring, both to make sure it's working and to check for and mitigate any side effects. A proper hair clinic may use different dosages and booster products to make the programme more effective. So long as you're not 'bald', these treatments can stop hair loss and often promote regrowth. If you buy Propecia online you run all sorts of risks: it might not have the dosage you think you're buying (if it has any of the drug at all), there may be contamination and poor product quality. Money spent on counterfeit drugs funds criminality. See the related links for the full story. If you're not close to London, The Belgravia Centre does provide an online hair loss diagnosis and treatment service, again, see the related links.

What can you do about my hair loss? Before starting with anything it is very important to understand their very cause, hair loss treatments are no different either. Among,… the common causes for the hair loss, male pattern baldness, or Androgenic alopecia, is the most prevalent reason that affects up to 70% of men and 40% of women at some point in their lifetime. This condition is mostly acquired genetically, but environmental factors also play a crucial role. If you are a male, then you are most likely to be suffering from this condition. In addition to Androgenic alopecia, Female Pattern Hair Loss and Alopecia Areata also causes hair fall. Alopecia Areata is a rare and temporary condition that causes patchy hair loss. The Female Pattern Hair Loss though doesn't causes much hair loss, can lead to substantial thinning of hairs in females. In addition, like male pattern baldness, it is also known to be related to genes. In addition to genetic factors there are number of other ways that can make hair fall to kick; often a combination of two or more of these factors: Ã· Hormonal imbalance Vitamin B1 and B12 deficiency Lack of dietary protein, copper, zinc and iron Anemia Poor blood circulation Emotional stress Poor nutrient absorption due to digestive disorders Liver Malfunction My 1st Answer: If you're suffering from any of the above mentioned non-genetic conditions, then it is better to treat those conditions, rather than going for actual hair treatment. Treatments: There are two treatments available for hair fall: herbal and pharma based. The herbal Treatments Herbal tonics and massage oil are used for this purpose. They work by increasing nutrition to the hair follicles thus promoting hair regrowth. They have no side effects being very natural hair regrowth & hair loss products The Pharma based treatment for male pattern baldness The only treatment is to take drugs like finasteride (or its variants). Finasteride is theoretically (not very effective practically) considered as the most effective treatment for male pattern baldness because it treats the hair loss condition not on the surface but from inside the body. Finasteride basically treats androgenic alopecia at the hormonal level by preventing or limiting the production level of dihydrotestosterone, the hormone that shrinks the hair follicles through a process called miniaturization, resulting in follicle death and hair loss. The side effects However, the DHT, or dihydrotestosterone, is produced from testosterone, the male sex hormone. This drug works by inhibits the production of testosterone consequently DHT and Sebum. The obvious side effects being less sex drive. In addition, these types of drug also have many major and minor side effects, and its effect subsides as soon as intake stops. Why go herbal? Herbal hair loss treatments do not causes additional health risks and are based on a totally non-invasive approach, being naturally occurring they are extremely safe to use. They may not look very good on papers like pharma based medicines, but they are equally to more affective and on top of that it comes with no side effects.
