The tongue has many functions. These include:

- Digestion (taste, saliva, aid chewing by movement of food to the back of the throat)

- Communication (speech)

- Kissing

The tongue is a very strong muscle. In fact, it's the strongest muscle in the human body. It helps you speak (pronounce letters clearly), and also helps you eat.
Your tongue is used in the various forms of articulation, such as whistle, speech, singing and so on.

It is also (and its native purpose) is to manipulate food in the mouth.

We may also taste and touch things with our tongue.

It is of minor use in removing debris from the teeth.

A tongue is a thing in your mouth that has taste buds that taste your food to taste if its bad or good your tongue is also the strongest muscle in your body but if you make your arms big then your arms will be bigger and stronger than your wimpy little tongue

it is a pink color and has a whole lot of taste buds all over it. the tongue is where you get the taste of food and etc. you couldn't talk without your tongue either. It helps you pronounce things.
