I also have an HE Shaw spinet desk. I have done tons of research on it and here is what I have found out. HE Shaw was in business from 1911 to 1933 but they manufactured the spinet desks mainly in the 1920's. Since they were so popular back then, they were made in abundance. However, because of the style they are not so popular anymore. The actual value of them is between $800 to $1200 but none sell for that price. The most I have seen one sold for is $375. After seeing this, I have decided to hold onto mine and pass it on to my children. After all, through time they will become more and more rare which will give them more value. =)
