- alkali come from rawmaterial (mainly from limestone), fuel used or additive.
- This alkali get absorbed in the clinker if concentration is less.
- If concentration is more they recirculate and cause blocking in riser duct/ cyclone etc..
- so it become important to remove this alkali from the system, that why alkali filter is used, which trap the gases at very high temperature just before kiln inlet, were alkali are in gases state.
