Vermi-composting is using a specialty worm called a Red Wiggler to compose dead animal and plant matter. Vermi-composting can be harvested by digging a shallow hole near what we call a worm's burrow.
Vermi compost is worm manure, the end result from a worm farm. The valuable natural fertilizer and plant food that the worms have produced from your kitchen scraps.

Composter using worms
One that involves leafy green vegetables and white- and yolk-free egg shells served in small sizes every two to three days describes the best worm fertilizer. Greens and shells need to be no more than 1 to 2 inches (2.54 to 5.08 centimeters) in size. The vermicomposter needs to be kept clean and free of acids, contaminants, greases, lactoses and oils.
