the Transformers are used to step down the supply voltage:)

power supply kit is mostly used for electronic equipment... electronic equipment operate in low volatge, for that purpose we using transformers in the power supply:)

A: It doesn't have to be a transformer it could be direct from the AC Line what a transformer does besides lowering or raising the voltage as required it also provide safety of isolation from the AC source

Voltage regulation is the percent change in output voltage from no load to full load. There is a natural voltage drop internal to a transformer due to the resistance of the copper windings. As more current passes through, more voltage will be dropped across these windings. This results in an uneven voltage output that is dependent upon the current passing through the transformer.

Voltage regulation of a transformer depends mainly on the leakage Reactance it offers.Distribution transformers are subjected to load dynamics frequently, therefore they have to be designed with good voltage regulation if the same is not done then throwing off a large load may lead to severe voltage increase which affect the already connected load, so as to keep voltage under tolerable limits a transformer with good voltage regulation should be designed.

Voltage regulation is a very important factor which should be considered as it will affect the voltage change of a system subjected to load dynamics frequently.

What is voltage regulation of Transformer?

The change in output voltage from no load to full load defines the voltage regulation of that transformer.

When transformer voltage regulation will be zero it operate at?

A transformer will operate with a voltage regulation of zero when it is not supplying a load.

When voltage regulation will be zero it operate it?

A transformer will operate with a voltage regulation of zero when it is not supplying a load.

What is the effect of transformer impedance on regulation?

The lower the impedance, the lower the voltage drop across the transformer as it is loaded. This means regulation is better, since voltage variance is smaller.

What is the voltage regulation of an ideal transformer?

Ideally the voltage regulation voltage of a transformer should be zero. It means when you change the load from no load to short circuit (theoretically, normally you don't want to burn the transformer windings) the output voltage doesn't change and remains equal to the no load voltage.

What is the effect of low impedance transformer on regulation?

The lower the impedance, the lower the voltage drop across the transformer as it is loaded. This means regulation is better, since voltage variance is smaller.

What do you understand by regulation in a transformer?

Regulation of transformer means percentage reduction of transformer secondary voltage due to transformer loading as compared to its no load voltage.Another AnswerA transformer's voltage regulation is defined as 'the change in its secondary voltage, from no-load to full-load, at a specified power factor, expressed as a percentage of its full-load voltage, with the primary supply voltage held constant'.

What is zero voltage regulation in transformers and what it means?

'Zero voltage regulation' indicates that there is no difference between its 'no-load voltage' and its 'full-load voltage' -this is only the case for an 'ideal' transformer.

What is the condition for zero voltage regulation of a single phase transformer?

zero volatge regulation means the terminal volatge of transformer at full load on a given power factor become equal to the rated teriminal volatge of transformer , it happens only for leading power factor in transformer

What is inherent voltage regulation of an onload tap changer for power transformer?

depending on the amount of the load of transformer as well as the power factor of it, there is a transformer specific voltage drop at its terminals, due to the internal impedances. The on-load tap changer can / will be used to compensate this voltage drop or rise.
