This is just a phrase Ben Franklin came up with during the American Revolution
what are u asking

if its for the meaning: actions speak louder than words.

Edit: If you're saying it to someone, then well done is for something good that they have done whereas well said is something they have said that you agree with. They are pretty much the same but for different things.

Answer

Both can apply with some equality in that a person is being congratulated in either doing something well i.e giving a speech or answer to a question or having built something. To say well done usually applies to a person who has accomplished some physical act such as winning a race, or as stated, having built something. Though as I have said it can also apply to a person who has given an acceptable talk or answer. However, to say well said would be the more appropriate remark at having given a well structured and well presented speech. To say both, then ones phraseology would have to be taken into cosideration, in other words the manner in which something is expressed in words.

What will be indirect speech for this sentence They said you have done your duty well?

If the sentence has no quotation marks, the indirect speech is: you have done your duty well. Indirect speech is explaining that someone is saying something or has said something without giving their speech word-for-word. Kate said, "Pass me that banana." In this sentence, we are reading exactly what Kate said. This is direct speech. Kate said to pass her the banana. Now we are just getting the idea of what she said without the actual words. This is indirect speech.
