∙ 14y agoThomas Jefferson made countless major (and minor) impacts on American history. The most notable is probably that he authored the Declaration of Independence. He also served as President from 1801-1809, buying the Louisiana Purchase in 1803, supported the Lewis and Clark expedition, and was the father of the University of Virginia ( as well as six children, only two of which survived until adulthood).
