What comet or asteroid will come close to the Earth in 2012?

Comets are difficult to predict; we currently know of no comets that will be visible in 2012, but new ones are discovered periodically. No asteroids that we are aware of will approach the Earth very closely before April 13, 2029, when the asteroid Apophis will come fairly close the Earth. (But it will miss.)

Why dont you notice the force of gravity between most objects on the Earth?

Because the objects are tiny compared with the Earth, the comparative gravitational force is very small.

Is it true that Earth is the only planet with gravity?

No, that's not true. All planets, moons, and stars have gravity. Actually all objects have gravity, it's just not very strong for small objects.

What controls the force of gravity between two objects?

The mass of the two objects and the distance between them control the force of gravity between them. The equation for the force of gravity between two objects is Fg=(GMm)/R2, so if two objects are very massive, the force will be greater, and if two objects are very close the force will be greater. The force of gravity is directly related to the mass of the objects and inversely related to the distance between them.the earth

Is the planet Venus a gas or a rocky planet?

Venus is a 'rocky' planet, with a dense atmosphere, very roughly the same size as earth, the planet that can approach closest to the earth, and the brightest one in our sky.

Why do objects weigh less on the Moon than on Earth-?
