Yes, i had a 2002 raptor 660. I had a 719cc big bore, k&n, twin BSR 35 carbs, ported, full LRD exhaust, And Hi Comp Piston. When i was done with it, it would do about 94 give or take (thats riding alongside a car on the road). When i bought my predator it did 85 right out of the box, I have put full HMF Ballance Pro Series exhaust, andK&N filter. It already is much quicker than any raptor but tops out the same as a raptor 700 with full exhaust and a power commander (racing my friend). Which when had my 660 raptor was equal top speed but slower through the gears.
Take it off during a oil change. Righty tighty, lefty loosy. Put it on hand tight, hard.
Take it to an authorized Yamaha mechanic. This is a tricky proceedure that should not be undertaken by a backyard do-it-yourselfer.
On a 660cc Yamaha Raptor, the reverse knob is located on the front right fender. It' just about an arms length away when sitting on the fourwheeler. it can be engaged simply by pulling in the clutch lever and turning the knob to the right. A 350cc raptor, however, the reverse can be found on the right side of the engine, almost underneath the gas tank. It is a small lever that must by pulled up and back when the clutch lever is pulled in, to take it out of reverse, pull in the clutch, push the lever up and foward.
The raptor commonly known as 'Silent Death from Above' is... the owl. Rabbits are easy prey for the raptor. A raptor can take flying prey as well.
It depends on what year you get because as some may not know, the 2008 Raptor 700's (and I presume the 09' and 10's too) have a governor built in which limits you to speeds under 80mph. So, the speed of these years of Raptor are in the top 70's to 80mph. A modification CAN be done which will make the Raptor do roughly 90mph. From there, you can bore things out and add performance parts. Roughly, modifications will take you up to about 105mph easy.
adjust your idle screw on the side of the carb its the one with the spring on it. if that doesnt help then take the carb apart and clean it to make sure theres no dirt in it.
Raptor 50's are a youth atv. The factory has a throttle stop screw at the throttle lever. There is also changes to the throttle arm and carb slide that prevents attaining full throttle. Lastly the stock CDI box has a rev limiter.
About 2.5 Quarts of 10w 40 wet clutch oil.
